Revelation 2:13
“I know where you live, where the throne of Satan sits. Yet you have held fast to My name and have not denied your faith in Me.”
I love those words, “I know where you live.”
Jesus spoke them to Christians who were trying to remain faithful in a place where being a Christian was difficult. He knew what they were facing, and He wanted them to know they were not forgotten.
He started with “I know where you live,” but His next words tell us more. He knows what goes on behind our front door. He knows the worries we carry to bed, the tears we never let anyone see, and the burdens we are too tired to explain.
Sometimes we smile and tell everyone we’re fine, even when we’re not. But we never have to pretend with God.
And here’s what I especially love. Jesus didn’t just know their address and their troubles. He also noticed their faithfulness.
Whatever you’re facing today, remember that God knows your address, your struggles, and your heart.
Prayer: Father, thank You for knowing where I am, understanding my struggles, and caring for me.
I’m Lonnie Davis, and this is a thought worth thinking.
