Psalm 90:14
“Satisfy us in the morning with Your loving devotion, that we may sing for joy and be glad all our days.”
Some mornings begin before our feet ever touch the floor. Our minds are already running. We think about what must be done, what might go wrong, and what we wish were different.
This verse gives us a better place to begin. “Satisfy us in the morning with Your loving devotion.”
I love that word “satisfy.” Moses does not ask God to make the day easy. He asks God to make his heart full.
That is a prayer I need. Before the phone rings, before the worries start, before the day begins asking things from me, I need to remember what God has already given me.
I am loved. I am not alone. I have today. Joy begins with those truths.. Not with getting everything we want, but with realizing that God’s love is already enough to make this day worth living.
Prayer: Lord, fill my heart with Your love, and help me enjoy the gift of today.
