2 Corinthians 5:17
“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away, and see, the new has come!”
You are not who you were on your worst day.
That mistake you replay at night? The old has passed away. That label someone pinned on you years ago? It does not fit anymore. God did not patch up the old you. He made you new. The new has already come, and it is sitting right here in this morning.
Think of a child on the first day of summer, with no homework, no schedule, and a whole day to enjoy. That is the gift in front of you. You do not need a better time to begin.
So take a slow, deep breath today. Notice one good thing, however small, and thank God for it. Yesterday is not your name anymore. You are His. The old is gone, and the new has come.
Prayer: Lord, thank You for making me new. Help me see this day as Your gift.
