Lamentations 3:22-23
“Because of the LORD’s loving devotion we are not consumed, for His mercies never fail. They are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness.”
Jeremiah wrote this verse from the ashes of a fallen Jerusalem. This isn’t hope from comfort, it’s hope that looked straight at ruin and still stood. He says we are not consumed, not because of God’s strength, but because His mercy held us when nothing else could. His faithfulness toward us is great.
You don’t start the day owing anything. Like sunrise, mercy always arrives again, whether or not you earned it. That’s the kind of faithfulness worth building a life on, the kind that speaks hope honestly, even from the middle of a hard day.

Prayer: Lord, thank You for mercy that starts fresh today. Help me remember that Your faithfulness toward me is great.
