1 Samuel 30:6
“David was greatly distressed because the people spoke of stoning him, because the soul of every man grieved for his sons and daughters. But David found strength in the LORD his God.”
David was a man after God’s own heart. Walking with God does not exempt us from seasons that break us. He carried his own losses and his men’s anger at the same time.
No friend stepped forward to lift him up. Sometimes no one will. In hard days like this, he found strength in the LORD his God. When all else fails, God never runs out!
Look what David did. He arose, sought God, pursued the enemy, and recovered all that was lost. Strength found in God opens the door to restoration.
Your hard day is not the end of your story. Turn to Him, and find your strength again.
Prayer: Lord, when I am weary and alone, be my strength and give me courage to go on.
