Lamentations 3:27
“It is good for a man to bear the yoke while he is still young.”
None of us gets through life without carrying a few burdens. We know about carrying yokes, or as we often call them, burdens. It is part of life, but notice the key phrase: “while he is still young.”
Some of life’s greatest lessons are learned while you’re still young. When you learn them early, you have a lifetime to benefit from them. Lessons like these:
- You cannot control everything, but you can control how you respond.
- Mistakes do not make you a failure. They can become some of your best teachers.
- Time is more valuable than money because once it is spent, it cannot be recovered.
- The people you love need your presence, not merely your promises.
We could keep adding to this list, but learn them while you are still young, Remember, you are younger now than you will ever be again!
The yoke may feel heavy now, but in God’s hands it is accomplishing far more than you can see.
Prayer: Lord, help me use every challenge to shape me into the person You created me to be.
