Be Thankful

Colossians 3:15

“Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts… And be thankful.”

True peace isn’t a fleeting mood that visits only when life is calm. When Paul says to let peace rule, he means let it sit on the throne of your heart and make every decision. Let peace control your attitude.

Every morning, you get to decide your mindset: frustration, pessimism, or the peace of Christ. Frustration and Negativity are not your calling. Instead, Paul offers a surprisingly simple anchor for your heart: be thankful. Not someday, but right now.

A man once shared how cynical his mother became in her final years. “I remember telling her, ‘It’s October 1st today,'” he recalled. “She just sighed and said, ‘I know. Isn’t it dreadful?'”

It is exhausting to live under the heavy cloud of negativity.

Choose to let thankfulness rule, and you will see how positive your whole life will be.

I’m Lonnie Davis, and these are thoughts worth thinking.

Prayer: Lord, let Your peace be the deciding voice in my heart today, trading my negativity for intentional gratitude.
