Genesis 21:1-2
Now the LORD attended to Sarah as He had said, and the LORD did for Sarah what He had promised. So Sarah conceived and bore a son to Abraham in his old age, at the very time God had promised.
Sarah waited a lifetime for a promise that outlasted her patience. Then God showed up right on time.
Not early. Not late. The right time, when she was 90.
Sarah’s age was not a problem for God to work around. It was the very place He chose to work. Twice the verse ties His action to His word, as He had said, as He had promised. It was proof that God’s mouth and His hands always move together.
What God starts, He finishes. If you are still waiting, let Sarah remind you that His delay is not forgetfulness.
Prayer: Lord, help me trust Your timing, even now.
