Who Created God

The question “Who created God?” sounds like a clever trap, but it assumes the wrong kind of God. Scripture begins with, “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.” God was already present before the beginning began. He was never created!

Every worldview believes something is eternal. Christians say God is eternal. Atheists must say matter, energy, or some natural force is eternal. So the real issue isn’t whether something has always existed, it’s what has always existed.

Which eternal reality makes more sense? An intelligent, purposeful Creator, or an unconscious, mindless blob of matter? One can design a universe; the other cannot explain its order.

Christians answer: God is eternal. Atheists place their hope in unthinking matter being eternal.

Prayer: Father, deepen our understanding of Your eternal nature, steady our hearts, and give us wisdom to share this with others.

God Designed It

Psalm 19:1

“The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of His hands.”

I believe in God because everything around me bears the fingerprints of design.

The earth sustains life. The eye sees. The heart beats in steady rhythm. The human mind reasons and wonders. Such beauty and purpose are hard to chalk up to accident. Just as a watch implies a watchmaker, creation implies a Creator. Design does not spell out every detail about God’s character, but it points us firmly toward Him.

When we see life sustained, eyes that see, and hearts that beat, we can say, “This looks designed, and design points to a Designer.”

God designed it all.

Prayer: Lord, thank You for a world woven with wonder, ever leading our hearts back to praise You.
