Do you believe that God exists?
The first challenge you will face from an unbeliever is, “How do you prove there is a God?” That question reveals a misunderstanding of who God is. God is not a God of one proof. He is a God of the preponderance of evidence. He has given us so much evidence that it takes real effort, or real blindness, to deny Him.
Belief in God is universal. Wherever you go, however far back you look, people have sensed something beyond themselves. Ancient Egyptians built temples. The Greeks worshiped many gods. Native tribes prayed to a Creator or a Great Spirit. Societies separated by oceans and centuries, with no contact, still turned toward the divine.
Over the next few devotionals, I will share some of the evidence for my belief in God. Tomorrow, we will see God in the miraculous.
